1. You give access to a trusted individual, like a relative or neighbor, through the ADT+ app.
2. Then, you configure permissions. You can give neighbors timed access, permitting them to enter and depart during a designated timeframe, or event-based entry. To illustrate, if a package arrives, the system can unfasten the door to let them take it inside once it verifies them.
3. Once you’ve configured access, your Google Nest Doorbell camera uses familiar face detection to confirm your neighbor when they proceed toward the door.
4. Your ADT system will deactivate the alarm and unlock the door when the approachee is confirmed as a permitted visitor.
5. You get real-time alerts as your friend, neighbor, or family member comes and goes. The app also provides a complete history. 
6. Once the trusted neighbor leaves, your smart door lock automatically secures to protect your home.

You can provide access for any person you would like, such as a service technician, animal sitter, or a partner who comes over when you’re out. This feature is also helpful during urgent events, particularly when you’re away. For instance, if a water sensor trips, your system can provide event-driven access so an individual can enter and switch off the water. The intuitive app makes programming permissions easy.
